Nellie Jane Moore, 83, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born on October 22, 1941, in Humboldt, Tennessee, to the late Marion Thomas Creasy and the late Bessie Dodd Creasy.
She was affectionately known to everyone as “Nan,” a woman whose warmth, laughter, and kindness touched countless lives. She never met a stranger and had a special gift for making everyone she encountered feel valued and appreciated. Nan lived by a simple but powerful rule—always find something good in everyone—a lesson she shared freely and practiced faithfully throughout her life.
For twenty years, Nan worked as a supervisor for Jackson Cable Television, where she was respected for her leadership, dedication, and the genuine care she showed to both her co-workers and customers.
Family was the very center of Nan’s world. She cherished every moment spent together—whether sitting by a cozy fire, traveling to new places, or cheering from the stands at Dyer County High School girls’ softball and volleyball games. She was one of their most devoted and enthusiastic supporters and she sure loved those girls.
Nan was also a devoted and loving caregiver to her daughter, Terri, with whom she shared a deep and special bond. Their years together were filled with love, laughter, and mutual devotion.
In her quiet moments, Nan enjoyed watching Korean soap operas, Bollywood musicals, and shows with subtitles. She loved working on diamond art projects and was an avid fan of Elvis Presley—one of her fondest memories was the joy of meeting him and having her picture made with him.
Nan’s kindness, humor, and compassion will long be remembered by her family and her many friends who loved her dearly. Her spirit of love and positivity lives on in all those whose lives she so beautifully touched.
