Neda Fay Hinson

Neda Fay Hinson, 95, of Martin, Tennessee (formerly of Trimble, Tennessee) died on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at her residence.

Born Sunday, May 18, 1930 in Finley, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ivory Clifford Bishop and the late Clara Mae Welch Bishop. 

Mrs. Hinson was known by all who knew her as sweet, soft-spoken, and caring. She dedicated many years of her life working as a secretary at the John Deere dealership, where her diligence and friendly nature made her a valued part of the workplace. Later, she continued her service to the community as a librarian at the Hamilton Parks Library in Trimble, Tennessee, a role that perfectly reflected her deep love for reading.

An avid reader, Mrs. Hinson especially enjoyed western novels, often finding joy and comfort within the pages of a good book. She also had a fondness for working puzzles, a pastime that reflected her patience and thoughtful nature.

Mrs. Hinson loved the outdoors and took great pleasure in spending time in her garden, where she nurtured both flowers and peaceful moments. She was also a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching baseball, cheering on her favorite team.

Cremation services for Mrs. Hinson are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by her great-niece, Katelyn Ingle of Martin, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbie Hinson; three  brothers, Bill Bishop, Gerald Bishop and Dallas Bishop and two sisters, Judy Hall and Imogene Hall.
