Mitzie Dianne Childress

Mitzi Dianne Childress, 89, died on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Signature Health of Ridgely, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, November 21, 1936, in Humboldt, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Francis "Pat" Browning and the late Irene Turner Browing. She was the wife of the late Bobby Childress. Mrs. Childress worked as a Pediatric Nurse in a doctor’s office in Memphis, Tennessee. She truly loved her work and cared deeply for each of her patients — nursing wasn’t just her job, it was her calling.

Private interment for Mrs. Childress were held at Buchanan, Turner and Rainwater Cemetery near Dover, Tennessee.

She is survived by one son, Michael Childress (Kelly) of Piperton, Tennessee and two grandsons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Childress.
