Mildred Genell Bradford Obituary

Mildred Genell Bradford, 93, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, March 26, 2021, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, May 24, 1927 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Wilton Wilson and the late Mattie Belle Harrison  Wilson. Mrs. Bradford was a retired employee of the Trimble School in Trimble, Tennessee. She was a member of  the Everlasting Church of God but attended Palestine Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, was a devout Christian and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Graveside services for Mrs. Bradford will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Chaplain Brent Pearce and her grandson, Justin Chapman. Visitation will be held Monday, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by one son, Wade Perry of Newbern, Tennessee; one step-son, David Bradford of Marietta, Georgia; former daughter-in-law, Jane Perry of Newbern, Tennessee; she was "Nanny" to her four grandchildren, Tara Ross (Don) of Thompson Station, Tennessee, Tana Perry of Thompson Station, Tennessee, Justin Chapman (Lindsey) of Warrensburg, Missouri, and Beth Guier (Nick) of Columbia, South Carolina and five great-grandchildren, D. J. Ross, Fletcher Ross, Brody Chapman, Colby Chapman and Ellie Guier.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Herman Bradford; one son, Gerald Wayne Perry; one daughter, June Chapman and four sisters, Priscilla Joan Wilson, Wilma Dean Wilson, Dorothy Wilson and Jennie Wade Wilson.

Honoring Mrs. Bradford was pallbearers will be Joey Harrison, Ross Maldonado, David Bradford, Ernest O'Neal, Danny Marshall and Johnny Parks.  Honorary pallbearers will be Don Ross, Dorman Beard, James Lewis Laster, Mike Parks, Bill Thrasher, Joe Harrison, Eddie Wilson, Marvin Wilson and Nick Guier.
