Mike Minton

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Michael Edward Minton (Mike), 67, of Trimble, who passed away on September 7, 2020. 

Mike always taught us to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. He taught us to love unconditionally, see the best in everyone and always cheer for Alabama Football.  Mike was the most passionate man we have ever met, especially about God, his family, his farm, his church and his country. 

He was a 6th generation farmer that graduated from Trimble High School in 1970 and the University of Alabama in 1975. 

Mike will be remembered forever by his wife, Ann Minton; his two children, Chris Minton and Erin (Greg) Street; his parents, Robert and Claudine Minton; the daughter that he raised Allison (Elicia) Stewart; his sister Jenny (Bill) Deloach; He was affectionally known as “Da” to his four grandchildren Hattie Minton, Keegan, Webb and Saylor Street; his nieces, Hannah (Justin) Alexander and Jana (Anthony) Hemmings; his nephews, Rob (Ashley) Deloach and Brandon Webb; the family’s angel on earth, Wendy Greene and his black lab Bindi Bear. 

Pallbearers are Desmond Coble, Rob Deloach, Greg Dozier, Richie Fowlkes, Tony Lambert, and Seigel Jackson. 

Honorary pallbearers are Phil Bivens, Don Gregson, Dan Harden, Larry Hicks, Marty Lannom, Bob Newbill, Randy Smith, Jim Turner and the elders of Cool Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 5 p.m. at Cool Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and socially distance.
