Michael Gene Headley

Michael Gene Headley, 70, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at West Tennessee Healthcare Milan Hospital in Milan, Tennessee.

Born Friday, May 8, 1953, in Miston, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Roy Headley and the late Helen Marie Wilson Golden. Mr. Headley was a former brick layer. He was a member of Northside Church of Jesus Christ.

Funeral services for Mr. Headley will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Northside Church of Jesus Christ. Officiating this service will be Bro. Ray Winstead, Bro. Jeff Smith, Bro. Nathan Winstead and Bro. Josh Sweat. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Headley will be held on Tuesday at the Northside Church of Jesus Christ from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of  fifty years, Martha Harris Headley of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Ozzy "Jacob" Headley of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, April Bryant (Johnathan) of Newbern, Tennessee  and Martha "Jeannie" Hargrove of Dyersburg, Tennessee; four brothers, Calvin Headley of Newbern, Tennessee, Allan Headley (Robin) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Robin Headley of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Jimmy Headley (Dorothy) of Gravel Switch, Kentucky; two sisters, Aleatha Horn of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Debra Fortner of Newbern, Tennessee; he was "Papa" Mike to  his eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.  He also leaves a host of extended family members who he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Headley.

Honoring Mr. Headley as pallbearers will be Christopher Golden, David Hargrove, Jr., Caleb Rogers, Bradley Rogers, Johnathan Bryant and Christopher Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Headley, Jimmy Flatt, David Santos and Larry Petty.
