Michael Dale "Mike" Murray, 66, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Thursday, July 16, 2020, doing what he loved best at his farm,

Born Tuesday, October 20, 1953 in New Bern, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Jodie Verbal Murray and the late Betty Jane McKnight Murray.

He was a retired Criminal Investigator for the State of Tennessee Agricultural Crime Unit and Co- Owner of Murray Cattle, Mr. Murray was a member of the Yorkville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Southern State Livestock Rural Enforcement Association.

Funeral services for Mr. Murray will be 11:00 AM on Monday, July 20, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Travis Davison. Interment will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday form 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, June Elizabeth Paire Murray of Newbern, Tennessee; one son, Chad Michael Murray (Renee) of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Angie Michelle Murray Fortner (Rusty) of Newbern, Tennessee and four grandchildren, Hailey Murray, Tyler Murray, Taylor Murray and Corinne Rutherford.

Honoring Mr. Murray as pallbearers will be Tyler Murray, Chad Williams, William "Dubby" Sims, David Ring, Jerry Ring, Joey Murray and Barry Scobey. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Boals, Donnie Scobey, Robert Moore and Frank McClin.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Yorkville Cumberland Presbyterian Church Food Pantry, 17 Newbern Highway, Yorkville, Tennessee 38389.
