Mavis Fern Evans, 66, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Thursday, March 4, 1954 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin Yants and Nancy Sue Thompson Brimm. She was a home-maker and was a sitter with the elderly. Mrs. Evans was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ.
Graveside services for Mrs. Evans will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Pastor Nick Wright. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Garland Evans, Jr. of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Terri Jo Hippler (Chris W.) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Shelly Jones (David) of Troy, Tennessee; her mother, Nancy Sue Thompson Brimm of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, William F. Yants, II of Hohenwald, Tennessee and Van Allen Yants of Dyersburg, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Cody Wright, Zack Presley, Sara Hippler and Kyler Hippler; four step-grandchildren, Selena Jones, Christina Jones, Ashley Jones and Mariah LeBron Jones and one great-grand-daughter, Natalie Marie Presley.
Honoring Mrs. Evans as pallbearers will be James Yants, Patrick Evans, Jeff Evans, Ricky Newman, Brian Wilson and Kyler Floyd.
