Mary Jo Moore

Mary Jo Moore, 96, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at AHC of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, November 30, 1926, in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Cleophus F. Cobb and the late Vera Pollard Cobb Roberson. Mrs. Moore was employed with the Dyer County Clerk's Office for twenty-four years before retiring from the State of Tennessee Transportation Department. She was a member of the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Moore will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 203, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mr. Sammy Arnold and Rev. Dr. Cory D. Williams.  Visitation for Mrs. Moore will be held from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Pat Moore Willis (Kenneth Hartsfield) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two granddaughters, Becky Cupples Draper (Ryan) of Mebane, North Carolina and Kate Willis Davidson of Arlington, Tennessee and one great-grandson, Sam Davidson of Arlington, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Moore, Sr.; one son, Calvin Moore, Jr., one brother, Norris B. Cobb and two sisters, Jean Cobb Carson and Geraldine Cobb McFarland.

The family ask that memorial contributions be directed to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 2280 Parr Avenue, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024.
