Mary Evelyn Davis Richardson

Mary Evelyn Davis Richardson, 86, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at The Waters of Union City in Union City, Tennessee.

Born Friday, March 6, 1936, in Troy, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Washington "Bill" Davis and the late Mary "Nell" Roberts Davis.  Mrs. Richardson was retired from Trimble Elementary School where she worked as a tutor and teacher assistant.  She was a member of Glendale Church of Christ in Newbern, Tennessee. Mrs. Richardson had a Masters in Home Economics and enjoying cooking and sewing.  

Funeral services for Mrs. Richardson will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2022, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Dana Watford. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Richardson will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday, May 25, 2022, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Joe Richardson of Newbern, Tennessee; son, Jeff Richardson of Newbern, Tennessee; daughter, Julie Sheppard (David) of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Jerry Davis of Union City, Tennessee; one sister, Anita Wells of Paris, Tennessee and two grandchildren, Chandler Joe Richardson Sheppard and Mary Kate Sheppard.  

Honoring Mrs. Richardson as pallbearers will be Billy McVay, Jason Horner, Cole Horner, Mason Horner, Johnnie Finley, Marty Sharp, David Ross, and Paul Roberson.
