Mary Jane Riley, age 82, was born on August 29, 1943, and peacefully passed away on December 30, 2025, surrounded by love.
Mary Jane was a hardworking and devoted woman who spent many years employed at World Color Press, where she worked as a binder operator until her well-earned retirement. She took great pride in her work and valued the friendships she made along the way.
She had a deep love for all animals, but her heart especially belonged to her two schnauzers, Bug and Bama, who preceded her in death and were truly her companions and joy.
Mary Jane was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Pinkley (Randy); her son, Randy Howard (Barbara); her granddaughters, Kelly Darnell (Chris) and Sky Howard Wilcoxen (Josh); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Zoey and James Peters. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jane Riley; her brothers, Tom Kirk Ernest Riley, Quentin Riley, and Hub Riley; and her sister, Jean Franks.
Funeral services for Mrs. Riley will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Chaplain Jim Ennis. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
