Marr Sheila Johnson, 78, of Memphis, Tennessee, formerly of the Tigrett Community, died on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Baptist Hospital-Collierville in Collierville, Tennessee.
Born Monday, April 21, 1946, in Tigrett, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Adrian Carmon and the late Maurine Delois Hammond Carmon.
Marr Sheila Johnson lived a life marked by independence, warmth, and a love for the simple joys that made life special. She later made Memphis, Tennessee, her home, where she built lasting relationships with family and friends who cherished her kind spirit and unwavering strength.
Sheila had a deep appreciation for science fiction movies, finding joy in the worlds of imagination and adventure they brought to life. More than anything, she treasured the moments spent with loved ones, sharing laughter, stories, and companionship. Some of her fondest memories were made along the Buffalo River near Linden, Tennessee, where she found peace and happiness in the beauty of nature. Her independent spirit and love for life will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Graveside services for Ms. Johnson will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Friendship Cemetery in Friendship, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Mr. Patrick Williams. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Jeremiah Johnson (Melissa) of Nashville, Tennessee; her caregiver, Sandra Walton (Bill) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and a host of extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
