Marie Elizabeth Deal

Marie Elizabeth Deal, 90, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at The Bay in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Mrs. Deal was born on Friday, March 25, 1932, in South Carolina.  Mrs. Deal was the former owner of Dyersburg Uniform Shoppe.  She was a dedicated member of Southside Baptist Church, where she served as organist/pianist for over fifty years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Deal will be held at 10:30 AM, on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Loren Stephens. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Deal will be held on Monday from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by one son, Dewayne Deal of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Karen Wilson (Danny) of Newbern, Tennessee and Gail Bell (Fred) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and she was "Grandma" and "Memaw" to her five grandchildren, Jonathan Bell (Jenny), Lauren Vincent (Matt), GraceAnne Deal, Mason Wilson (Crystal) and Angie Morton (William) and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Cecil Deal, Jr.

Honoring Mrs. Deal as pallbearers will be Danny Wilson, Mason Wilson, Lauren Vincent, Jonathan Bell, GraceAnne Deal and Joel Deal.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be directed to Southside Baptist Church, 505 Christie Street, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024 or the Dyer County Humane Society, P. O. Box # 223, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38025.
