Margaret J. Bishop

Margaret Jeanette Privett Bishop, 92, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Okeena Health and Rehabilitation of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, April 26, 1933, in Crockett County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Privett and the late Bessie Robertson Pate.
 

Mrs. Bishop was a devoted homemaker who found great joy in caring for her family and creating a warm, loving home. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved and held dear the memories they made together.

Cremation services for Bishop are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by one son, Perry Bishop (Karen) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; four daughters, Judy Tipton (Tip) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Debbie Burkeen (Rick)of Trimble, Tennessee, LeeAnn Paschal (Joe) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Gaye Paschal (Larry) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Bishop and two sisters, Mary Alexander and Marie Lee.
