Lynda Gail Castleman

Lynda Gail Castleman, 72, of Union City, Tennessee died on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Union City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Union City, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, August 6, 1953, in Tiptonville, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie Castleman and the Peggy Ellis Castleman.

Lynda had a lifelong love for animals, especially cats, who were always a special part of her life. She enjoyed traveling and had the opportunity to see much of the world during her years as a flight attendant with Saudi Arabian Airlines. Later, she dedicated her career to public service and retired as a Correctional Officer from the West Tennessee State Penitentiary, formerly known as Fort Pillow.

Graveside services for Ms. Castleman will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Tommy Harrison.

She is survived by her brother, John Castleman and his wife, Tammy of Union City, Tennessee.
