Lydia Inez Johnson

Lydia Inez Johnson, 81, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, August 24, 1940 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Marchel Murphy and the late Ruby Aker Murphy. She was a retired employee of Peter Hand Brewing Company in Chicago, Illinois.  Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Glendale Church of Christ.

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Serge Shoemaker. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by one brother, James E. Jodison of North Carolina; one niece Patsy Lovell of Lockport, Illinois, her cousins, who cared for her Royce and Brenda Aker of Obion, Tennessee and her special friend, Betty Sowell of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Johnson.

Honoring Mrs. Johnson as pallbearers will be members of Glendale Church of Christ.
