Lonnie Franklin Morgan, 82, of Fulton, Kentucky, died on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Anna Mae Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.
Born Saturday, December 20, 1941, in Hickman, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John Franklin Morgan and the late Leoma Powell Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a retired employee of Goodyear in Union City, Tennessee. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Graveside services for Mr. Morgan will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Mr. Patrick Williams. Visitation for Mr. Morgan will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tennessee.
He is survived by two brothers, William Joseph Rhoades of Peru, Indiana and Claude Wesley Morgan (Lynn) of Union City, Tennessee; one sister, Virginia Lou Morgan Palaima (David) of South Fulton, Tennessee and a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, John Carroll Morgan, James Monroe Morgan, George Willard Morgan, Murray Eugene Morgan and Thomas Algie Morgan, and five sisters, Eunice Eider Morgan Ray, Mary Elizabeth Morgan Rogers, Tempie Louise Morgan, Henrietta Ann Oaks, and Carolyn Sue Morgan.
