Linda Jean Dial Sharp

Mrs. Linda Jean Dial  Sharp , 78, of Hanover Park,  Illinois died on Friday, April 8, 2022, at her residence in Hanover, Illinois.

Born Sunday, June 27, 1943, in Ridgely, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Joe William Dial and the late Gertrude Pearl Simmons Dial. Mrs. Sharp was a retired administrative assistant for Gallagher Basset.  She was a member of Villa Avenue Church of Christ and was a Bible school teacher for most of her adult life.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sharp will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2022, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mr. Billy Sharp. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Sharp will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Tamara Giovenco of Hanover Park, Illinois, Tracy Lorence of Poplar Grove, Illinois, Missy Platter of Poplar Grove, Illinois and Amy Johnson of Hanover Park, Illinois; her sister in Christ and at heart, June Dial and she was "Grammie" to her eighteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, of sixty years, whom she married on July 1, 1961, Larry Wilson Sharp and four brothers, Alton Dial, Dale Dial, Mackie Dial and Jackie Dial.

Honoring Mrs. Sharp as pallbearers will be David Lorence, Andrew Lorence, Sahra Giovenco, Dale Sharp, Darrell Sharp and Jeff King.
