Linda Jean Milligan, 68 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
She was born on September 20, 1956, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Powers and the late Della Cagle Simmons. Linda was one of eleven children of this close-knit family. Growing up in such a lively and loving household instilled in her a deep sense of loyalty, compassion, and dedication-qualities that defined her life.
Linda was a dedicated and hardworking individual, spending twenty-seven years of her career with Firestone, where she was admired for commitment and kind spirit. Her work ethic and positive attitude left a lasting impression on her colleagues and friends.
Above all, she cherished her family, her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Linda had a great appreciation for the great outdoors, she found peace in joy in nature's beauty. Her love for the outdoors was contagious and became a cherished part of her family's life and will remain a treasured memory. One of those memories is riding the grandchildren in the wagon being pulled by the lawnmower.
Funeral services for Mrs. Milligan will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Mac Daniels. Visitation will be held on from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory; one daughter, Tracy Burns of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, John Wayne Powers (Tina) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Andrew Powers (Virginia) of Tiptonville, Tennessee; five sisters, Tammy Burns (James) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Ruth Ann Barton of Rutherford, Tennessee, Mary Carey of Springfield, Missouri, Betty Lou Powers of Springfield, Missouri and Sue Powers of Dyersburg, Tennessee; she was "Granny" to her grandson, C. J. Russell (Emily): two great grandchildren, Brayden Russell and Nolan Russell and two honorary sisters, Helen Russell and Glenda Clinton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Milligan.
