Linda Faye Butler “Memaw,” 81, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was born on June 6, 1945, in Dyersburg to the late Jessie Bedwell Thompson, Sr. and the late Etta Bernice Taylor.
Linda was a woman of deep faith, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to her family. She graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1964. In her early adult years, she worked as a beautician and later enjoyed a career as a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Technician at Sylvania Electric Products.
A longtime and faithful member of Dyersburg Church of God, Linda’s love for the Lord was evident in every part of her life. She sang in the choir, served as a greeter, and was a dedicated prayer warrior whose faith touched everyone around her.
Her greatest joy was found in her family and friends. Known for never meeting a stranger, Linda greeted everyone with a warm smile and was always ready to share her love for Jesus Christ.
Funeral services for Ms. Butler will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 26, 2026 at Dyersburg Church of God, 1014 Phillips Street, Dyersburg, Tennessee, with Bro. Joseph Ballinger officiating. Visitation will be held at the church at on Friday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Bellucci (Mark) of Largo, Florida; six grandchildren: Justin Chandler (Holly) of Owensboro, Kentucky, Anneliese Miller (Hailey) of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Brandon Chandler (Tiffany), Duane Goff (Wendy), Matt Chandler (Kimmie), all of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Anthony Kuusela of St. Petersburg, Florida; and ten great-grandchildren: Aiden Chandler, Ava Chandler, Lucas Chandler, Logan Chandler, Kamryn Goff and Lynleigh Goff of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Ethan Chandler, William Chandler and Landon Chandler of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Dreama Kauffman-Kuusela of Clearwater, Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Chandler and Nelson Butler; her son, Greg Chandler; one sister, Carolyn Massey; and one brother, Jessie Thompson, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Justin Chandler, Matt Chandler, Duane Goff, Mark Bellucci, Ethan Chandler and Landon Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be William Chandler and Lucas Chandler.
