Lilianna Catherine "Lily" Rivers

Our sweet, loving, precious, Lilianna Catherine "Lily" Rivers, 16, of Ridgely, Tennessee, gained her angel wings on December 23, 204 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital.

Lily was born on January 29th, 2008, to her parents Courtney and Steve Jackson and Josh and Lisa Rivers.  Lily chose to be cared for and loved by her "Nanny" and "Papa", William and LeeAnn Rivers.  Lily was a straight A student at Gateway Chrisitan School in Covington, Tennessee. Her dream was to go to college and become a criminal justice lawyer.  She liked Lilo and Stitch and her favorite movie was The Nightmare Before Christmas. She enjoyed collecting Squish Mallows.

Funeral services for Lily will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Cottonwood Baptist Church in Ridgely, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Jackie Goad, Bro. Robert Mann and Bro. Ronnie Turner. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery in the Cloverdale Community. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Monday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

She was the best big sister to Alivia Rivers, Maggie Joyce, Paxton Jackson, Conner Bell and Cooper Rivers.  Little Sister to Sabrina Joyce, Megan Joyce and Bubba Joyce. A cousin, who is like a brother, Lucas Rivers. Grandparents are Bill and Donna Tolley, France Bell and Jackie Jackson. Great grandparents, William and Peggy Watkins and Faye Bramlett. Niece to Zach and Morgan Tolley, Jesse Rivers and Shelby Rickman, Lauren Bell, Robert Cahill, William and Martina Tolley, Roger and Brianna Belt. Lee and Chasity Bell, Justin Jackson, Natalie Tolley, Timmy Watkins and Clifford Watkins. She was deeply loved by many cousins, great aunts and uncles and friends. Aunt to five and one angel baby.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wanda Tolley and Lawrence Bell; great-grandparents, Katrinka Sanford, Paul Bramlett and Ross B. Rivers and one uncle Nick Bell and several great aunts and uncles.

Honoring Lily as pallbearers will be Zach Tolley, Steve Jackson, Justin Jackson, Trey Wood, Josh Rickman and Tony Ivy. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Belt, Trey Spicer, William Rivers, William Watkins, Bill Tolley and Chris Burrus.
