Lester Finch, Jr., 84, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, July 18, 1937, in Spring Hope, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Lester Finch, Sr. and the late Alma Morgan Finch. Mr. Finch proudly served his country in the United State Air Force retiring in 1969 with the rank of TSgt. After his retirement from the United States Air Force, he worked for the FAA as an Aviation Administration Technician.
Funeral services for Mr. Finch will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 29, 2022, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Mark LaRue. Interment will follow at 2:30 PM at Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford, Tennessee. Visitation for Mr. Finch will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of sixty-four years, Peggy Williams Finch of Newbern, Tennessee; three daughters, Debbie Brashier (James) of Fredonia, Kentucky, Kimberly Harrell (Michael) of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Melinda Jackson (Lynn) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Lewis Finch (Ann) of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina and Walter Finch of Bunn, North Carolina; two sisters, Ruth Morgan of Spring Hope, North Carolina and Doreen Manning (Willis) of Tarber, North Carolina; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Lynn Finch and Troy Anthony Finch and one brother, Dwight Finch.
Honoring Mr. Finch as pallbearers will be Matthew McDugle, Joseph McDugle, Jacob McDugle, Stephen Jackson, Cody Jackson and Anthony Finch.
