Lawrence A. "Larry" Williams

Lawrence A. "Larry" Williams, 77, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, March 11, 1944 in Haywood County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Loy Amazon Williams and the late Katherine Burse  Williams. He was a retired employee of Pipeliners Local 2b and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Bill Phipps. Interment will follow in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-six years, Shirley Doss Williams of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Allen Williams (Vickie) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; one brother, Jerry Williams (Shirley) of Dickson, Tennessee; one sister, Linda Bromley (Phillip) of Newbern, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Duncan Williams and Maeve Williams; three nephews, Clay Williams, Cory Williams and Tony Essary and three nieces, Candi Still, Dawn Gordon and Dana Shelton.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillie Cooper and Patsy Essary and her husband Herbert Essary and two nephews, Ken Williams and Michael Essary.

Honoring Mr. Williams as pallbearers will be family and friends.
