Latricia Joan Jones

Latricia Joan Jones, 78, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, January 22, 1942 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Herschel Nicks and the late Moreen Jackson Nicks. She was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics and former activities assistant for Highlands Health. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Newbern First United Methodist Church where she worked with the youth for many years.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Tyler Neely. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-eight years, James "Buddy" Jones of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Jimmy Jones (Mitzie) of Newbern, Tennessee; one daughter, Nicole Whitt (Mark) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Richard Nicks (Jane) of Valparaiso, Indiana and Eugene Nicks of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Velva Douglas of Lufkin, Texas; two grandchildren, Dillon Jones (Stefanie) and Hunter Boden (Lori) ; six great-grandchildren and two more great-grandchildren that will soon join the family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Edward Nicks.

Honoring Mrs. Jones as pallbearers will be her family.
