Larry W. Johnson

Larry W. Johnson, 77, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, March 8, 1944 in Gary, Indiana, he was the son of the late Willie Johnson and the late Vivian Boshears Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired employee of Heco Manufacturing.

Graveside services for Mr. Johnson will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Church Grove Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Butch Burns. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. 

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Lorell McCord Johnson of Newbern, Tennessee; one son, Jeff Johnson of Newbern, Tennessee daughter, Susie Collier of Dyersburg, Tennessee and he was "Papa" to his three grand-daughters, Chassity Ramsey (Will), Emily Collier and Mollie Kate Collier.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Johnson and Donnie Johnson and one sister, Patsy Ray.

Honoring Mr. Johnson as pallbearers will be Will Ramsey, Larry Ricketts, Johnny Choate, Jimmy Smith, Mike McCord and Tim McCord.
