Larry Ray French, 77 of Big Sandy, Tennessee died on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, April 9, 1947, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Raymond French and the late Louise Weaver French.
Larry dedicated many years to Heco Manufacturing before retiring and forming Larry's Trucking and Excavation. He spent most of his life in Dyer County, Tennessee, before moving to Big Sandy, where he found joy in the peaceful surroundings of Kentucky Lake. In his spare time, Larry could often be found fishing and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. He was a proud member of the American Legion. His legacy of kindness and love for this family will always be remembered by those who knew him.
Cremation services for Mr. French are under the guidance of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, of years 58 years, Shirley Faye Taylor French of Big Sandy, Tennessee; two sons, Timothy French (Tammy) of Sevierville, Tennessee and Allen French (Kim) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Kenneth French (Phyllis) of Big Sandy, Tennessee; and he was "Granddaddy" to four grandchildren and "Great-Granddaddy" to his six great-grandchildren.
