Larry Joe Hinson, Sr.

Larry Joe Hinson, Sr.,81, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Monday, April 17, 2023, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, August 5, 1941, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Dude Hinson and the late Eunice Lucille Hensley Hinson Lindsey. Mr. Hinson was a retired truck driver.

Funeral services for Mr. Hinson will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, April 21, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Bro. Greg Jordan and Ms. Stephanie Lucy. Visitation for Mr. Hinson will be held from 4:30 PM until 6:00 PM on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Liz Hinson of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sons, Joe Hinson, Jr. (Janalyn) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Shannon Hinson of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two daughters, Cindy Sims (Alan) of Newbern, Tennessee and Kitty Tubbs (Albert) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three step-daughters, Cynthia Russell of Tennessee, Tammy Studard of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Stefanie Lucy of Florida; one step-son, Wayne Follis, Jr. of Tennessee;  two brothers, Rick Hinson and Dale Hinson both of Mississippi; eight grandchildren, Cathy Anderson, Brandon Tubbs, Molly Williams, Levi Hinson, Samantha Parker, Stephanie Sims, Jacub Hinson, and Carley Hinson; step-grandchildren, Jason Hendrix, Bradley Hendrix, Brittney Studard, Chassidy Perkins, Jeremy Perkins, Taylor Follis, and Megan Follis; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Hinson and Bill Hinson and two sisters, June Black, and Ann Butler.

The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
