Larry Daniel "Dan" Hays, 73, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Monday, April 14, 1947 in Pemiscot County, Missouri, he was the son of the late Steve Marvin Hays and the late Virginia Pauline Clark Sykes. He was a retired carpenter and auctioneer. Mr. Hays proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Funeral services for Mr. Hays will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Mac Daniels. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Judy Lowe Hays of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son Toby Hays of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two brothers, Gene Clark of Friendship, Tennessee and James Sykes of Lenox, Tennessee; one sister, Sonda Bishop of Dyersburg, Tennessee and two grandsons, Caleb Hays and Colton Hays both of Dyersburg, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, Oscar Sykes and four brothers, Jerry Allen Hays, David Sykes, Clarence "Did" Hays and Gary Sykes.
Honoring Mr. Hays as pallbearers will be Mike Cole, Justin Bishop, Michael Crews, Adam Pride, Eric Thurmond and Robert Michaels.
