Larry Bennett

Larry Bennett, 80, of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Okeena Health and Rehabilitation of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, June 10, 1945, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Woodrow Bennett and the late Lula Mae Bennett.

Larry was a retired press operator for Veterans Management Services in Newbern, Tennessee. He attended Glendale Church of Christ. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and treasured the peaceful moments spent on the water.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Bennett will be held at 4:30 PM on Thursday, May  21, 2026, at Rehoboth Cemetery. Officiating this service will be Bro. Serge Shoemaker. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Tim Bennett (Tina Michelle) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild and close friends who would gather for coffee every morning at McDonald's.
