L. B. Ramey

L. B. Ramey, 94, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Monday, October 12, 2020, at his residence in Dyersburg,Tennessee.

Born Sunday, September 26, 1926, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Lonnie Ramey and the late Edith Bevis Ramey. Mr. Ramey was a life long farmer on his family farm and a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church in the Viar community.

Private funeral services, for Mr. Ramey, will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. James Combs and Rev. Ronnie Turner. Friends are asked to join the family for the graveside services to be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at RoEllen Cemetery in Roellen,Tennessee.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of seventy five years, Doris Ramey of Dyersburg, Tennessee; four sons, Jimmy W. Ramey (Donna) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Larry Joe Ramey (Diane) of Dyer, Tennessee, James Burton Ramey (Sandra) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Donnie B. Ramey of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Ann Hooper (Robert) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister, Joan Lewellyn from Mississippi, two brothers, Marvin Ramey (Shirley) of Dyer, Tennessee and Jerry Ramey (Dolly) of Dyer, Tennessee, eleven grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Eveline Underwood and Christine Epperson; and one brother, Bill Ramey,
