Krista Jo Lewis

Krista Jo Lewis, 66, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Brookdale Jackson Oaks in Jackson, Tennessee.

Born Monday, December 1, 1958, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Cothren V. "Dee" Permenter and the late Mary Frances Alford Permenter. For forty-two years, Krista served as vice-president and loan administrator at First Citizens National Bank, where she was known for her  dedication, genuine kindness and infectious smile. She was a great decorator, with a keen eye for aesthetics that brought beauty into her home and the lives of those around her. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and sitting on her back porch with her beloved cat, Bella, watching the golfers on The Farms Golf Course 6th hole.

Graveside services for Mrs. Lewis will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating the service will be Mr. Patrick Williams. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, William H. "Bill" Lewis of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, Dr. Brad Lewis (Dr. Mitzi) of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Jamie Rodgers (Tim) of Sikeston, Missouri;  one brother Thomas E. "Bubba" Permenter of Friendship, Tennessee; one sister, Dee Ann Lovelace of Finley, Tennessee; nephew, Tim Lovelace of Finley, Tennessee and niece Christy Riggs.  She was affectionately known as "Krista Bear" to her four grandchildren, Trey Smith, Cody Rodgers (Tori), Gaige Lewis, and Gannon Lewis and one great grandson, Sam Rodgers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Smith, Jr.
