Kerry Keith Owen

Kerry Keith Owen, 72, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, November 16, 1949, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Arthur Owen, Jr. and Mary Jo Lock Owen.  He was a 1968 graduate of Dyer County High School. Mr. Owen was a former truck driver for Colonial Rubber for twenty-five years, where he earned a ring for driving two million miles. After his retirement from Colonial Rubber, he worked for the City of Dyersburg for ten years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division from 1969 until 1971. Mr. Owens was a dedicated member of the West Dyersburg Church of Christ, where he enjoyed making new preachers welcome and encouraging them.

Memorial services for Mr. Owen will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the West Dyersburg Church of Christ.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of fifty-four years, Faye Ellis Owen of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, that he adored, Kimberly Faye Owen of Dyersburg, Tennessee; his mother, Mary Jo Owen of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Pat Owen (Patricia) of Newbern, Tennessee;  one brother-in-law, Tommy Ellis (Barbara) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one sister in-law, Joan Ellis Rumley of Atlanta, Georgia; two nieces; four nephews and his fur baby, Fonzie.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Gladys Owen and T. C. and Nora Lock; brother-in-law, Clifford Rumley two uncles, Lowell Owen and Bobby Gene Owen and one very special great nephew, Jackson Rumley.
