Kenneth Sawyer

Kenneth Sawyer, 75 of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Friday, November 1, 2024, at AHC of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born on December 16, 1948, in Brighton, Tennessee, to the late James Morris Sawyer and the late Lucille Canada Sawyer.  For over twenty-seven years , Mr. Sawyer was a dedicated employee of Dyersburg Fabrics before retiring from the Finley School as their custodian. The focus of his life was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mr. Sawyer will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Trenton, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Bro. Jack Chapman. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

He is survived by two sons, Chris Sawyer of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Brian Sawyer of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Jenny Wales (Derek) of Finley, Tennessee; three sisters, Katie Garrett (Dan) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Margaret Willis (Gene) of Newbern, Tennessee and Peggy Ann Dilback of Indiana and he was "Grand-Daddy" to his four grandchildren, Brooke Evelyn Sawyer, Christopher Garrett Sawyer, Marlee Grace Wales and Miller Everett Wales.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah "Joan" Sawyer; two brothers, Olan Ray Sawyer and David Sawyer and three sisters, Catherine Mashburn, Sue Fair and Etta Boswell.
