Kathy Paullette McCorkle Tharpe

Kathy Paullette McCorkle Tharpe, 69, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Okeena Health and Rehabilitation of Dyersburg in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, July 24, 1956, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Paul Clyde McCorkle and the late Rebecca Emogene Wilson McCorkle.

Kathy was a former employee of Jimmy Dean Foods, where she worked faithfully for many years. In her quieter moments, she found joy in reading, working crossword puzzles, and traveling. Whether enjoying a good book, solving a puzzle, or taking a trip, Kathy appreciated life’s simple pleasures and the experiences they brought.

Cremation services for Mrs. Tharpe are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She is survived by one  brother, Paul McCorkle of Wardell, Missouri; five sisters, Joyce Smith (Bobby) of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Patricia Baucom of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Sherry Hastings of Finley, Tennessee, Deidra Hilliard (Wayne) of Ripley, Tennessee and Teresa Gilliland of Halls, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Rileigh Tharpe, Kaleb Tharpe, Jayden Spicer, Montana Gourley and Addison Gourley and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Michael Paul Tharpe and grandchild, Arizona Gourley.
