Kathy J. Burks

Kathy Jo Burks, 69, of Horn Lake, Mississippi, died on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the home of her nephew and niece in Humboldt. Tennessee.

Born Friday, August 6, 1954, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lex Lee Langston and the late Flora Irene Langston. Ms. Burks was a homemaker.

Funeral services for Ms. Burks will be at 2:30 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2024, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Bro. Bobby Hankins.  Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation for Ms. Burks will be held from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her fiancé, James R. "Randy" Rainey of Horn Lake, Mississippi: two sons, Donald Burks of Horn Lake, Mississippi and Tracy Rogers of Dyersburg, Tennessee: two brothers, Tommy Langston of San Diego, California and Roy Langston of San Diego, California; three grandchildren, Scotty Rogers, Brandon Rogers, and Johnny Rogers of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one great- granddaughter, Beckett Rogers of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one nephew Joseph Langston and his wife Christina (who she claimed as her own children) of Humboldt, Tennessee; one  niece, Tammy Davis of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one great nephew, Joshua Langston and three  great nieces Heather Langston, Brittney Chandler, and Kathy Chandler all of Dyersburg, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Langston.

Honoring Ms. Burks as pallbearers will be Joshua Langston, Scotty Rogers, Brandon Rogers, Tracy Rogers, Jason Rainey and Tony Andrew.
