Katherine Sunday Williams, 69, Of Newbern, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, May 30, 1956, in Pensacola, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Sunday, Jr. and the late Charleen Beulah Marlar Sunday.
Katherine was known for her gentle spirit and generous heart, she spent her life caring for others, always offering kindness, comfort, and steady support to those around her.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including her unique hobby of collecting metal tins—each piece holding its own story and memory. Katherine was also a proud and loyal fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, and Saturdays in the fall were often spent cheering on her team with enthusiasm.
Katherine’s greatest joy came from the love she shared with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Cremation services for Mrs. Williams are under the direction of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Paul Williams (Paige) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; she was "Grandma Kathy" to her grandson, Michael Jessie- Wade Williams and seven additional grandchildren and her fur baby, her dog, Patches.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Sunday.
