Judy Ann Moser Obituary

Judy Ann Moser, 78, of Gleason, Tennessee died on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Hillview Community Living Center in Dresden, Tennessee.

She was born on June 27, 1946, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to the late Leslie Ketchum and the late Thelma Davis Ketchum.

A retired nurse, Judy dedicated her life to caring for others, working in several nursing facilities throughout the area. Her calling was clear—being a caregiver was more than just her profession; it was her passion. That same spirit of care extended deeply into her personal life, especially in the years she lovingly cared for her husband.

Judy’s faith was a guiding light in her life. A faithful member of RoEllen Baptist Church before moving to Gleason, she read her Bible and prayed daily, grounding her life in devotion and grace.

Born and raised on a farm, Judy developed a lifelong love for gardening and flowers. She found joy in the simple beauty of nature, which reflected her nurturing soul.

Family was the heart of Judy’s world. She dearly loved her children and especially her grandchildren, who knew her best as their sweet and playful MeMaw. Her grandkids will forever treasure the memories of Happy Meals after school, watching Hannah Montana together, and winning board games—thanks to MeMaw letting them win, even when their competitive streak got the better of them.

Judy Ann Moser will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering faith, and the way she made everyone around her feel loved and cared for.

Graveside services for Mrs. Moser will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Officiating this will be Rev. Kevin Sellers. Friends are asked to gather at the cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Jimmy Moser, Jr. (Brandi) of Friendship, Tennessee; one daughter, Monica Ivy (Terry) of Gleason, Tennessee; two sisters, Martha Hopper of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Lauren Rogers (Tyler) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and she was "MeMaw" to her two grandchildren, Chelsey Moser (Evan) and Justin Permenter (Hillary); two great-grandchildren, Ellie Permenter and Jace Permenter and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Jimmy Moser, Sr.; one grandson, Joshua Allen Smith and one sister, Cindy Moore.

Honoring Mrs. Moser as pallbearers will be Justin Permenter, J. T. Ketchum, Lauren Rogers, Tyler Rogers and Joel Brashier. Honorary pallbearer will be John Ketchum.
