Judith Ann "Judy" Murray Hanks, 73 of Yorkville, Tennessee died on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, February 7, 1948 in Cool Springs, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lenard Murray and the late Gilda Ione Poole Murray. She was a retired employee of Yorkville Elementary School Cafeteria and a member of Yorkville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Judy was affectionately known as "MeMe". "MaMa Judy" and "The Crazy OLD Lady" to all the people that loved her.
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Hanks will be held at 5:30 PM on Friday, June 11, 2021 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this services will be Pastor Ronnie Sanders and Rev. Travis Davison. Visitation for Mrs. Hanks will be held Friday, June 11, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 5:30 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of twenty-six years, David Hanks of Yorkville, Tennessee: two sons, Andy Johnson (Cindy) of Yorkville, Tennessee and Corbin Johnson (Carrie) of Yorkville, Tennessee, one daughter, Becky Cobb (Zebb) of Double Springs, Alabama: one niece, Skye Ellis (Stacy): eight grandchildren, Allie (Corey Hendrix), Tristan Johnson, Clayton Johnson, Taylor Johnson , Blakely Johnson, Lynleigh Cobb, Colt Cobb, Laney Jo Cobb, Jayden Hanna and Kendall Hanna: great grandchild Drake Hendrix: great nieces and nephews Madison Ellis, Braxton Ellis, Brileigh Ellis, and Kyleigh Crawford: former daughter-in-law and friend Beth Vaughn and two life long friends Brenda White Frye and Debbie Zarecor.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Darrell Murray.
In lieu of flowers the Hanks family has requested memorial be directed to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 41817, Memphis, Tennessee 38174-1817.
