Juanita Lynn Hammett

Juanita Lynn Hammett, 51, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, January 14, 2023, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, May 2, 1971, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Did Hays and Jackie Dianne Wilson Pierce. Ms. Hammett was an employee of Days Inn of Dyersburg and a graduate of Transitions of Dyer County. The times that she cherished the most were those times spent with her family.

Funeral services for Ms. Hammett will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Pastor Brandon Norton. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, John Tyler Hammett (Jennifer) who is serving his country in the United States Air Force and is stationed in Japan; one daughter, Lindey Scott (Cody) of Clarksburg, Tennessee; her mother, Jackie Dianne Wilson Pierce of Dyersburg, Tennessee; her step-father, Billy Pierce of Dyersburg, Tennessee; two sisters, Niki Kempf (Jay) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Shannon Stover (Jay) of Newbern, Tennessee and five grandchildren, Knoxley Scott, Lydia Grace Scott, Natalie Scott, Justin Hammett and William Hammett.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jason Chad Hays.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to Transitions of Dyer County, P. O. Box # 265, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38025.
