Joyce Charlene Rose Mallard, 81, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Monday, October 28, 2024, at her residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born, Friday, January 29, 1943, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to the late Albert Junior Rose and the late Lucy Rogers Rose. For many years, Mrs. Mallard was an employee of Dyersburg Fabrics, where she made many life long friendships. In the early 1990's. she and her husband, Otha B., embarked on a new journey together, opening the West Tennessee Oprye also known as the "Boogie Barn'". She was a member of the RoEllen Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mallard will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 1, 2024, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Kevin Sellars. Interment will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Mike Mallard (Dianne) of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Rita Fletcher (Colin) of LaVergne, Tennessee; one brother, Charles Rose (Shelia) of Newbern, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Becky Rose of Covington, Tennessee and she was "Grandmama" to her four grandchildren, Zach Fletcher (Misty), Lindsay Luttrell (Dustin), Allye Mallard (Luke) and Mitch Mallard and her four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, by her husband of fifty-one years, Otha B. Mallard; one son, Marty B. Mallard, one brother, David Rose and a grandson, Michael Tyler Mallard.

Honoring Mrs. Mallard as pallbearers will be Barry Baker, Adam Mallard, Bronson Mallard, Bo Baker, Bryson Fletcher and Spencer Collins.
