In Loving Memory Joseph Ray Boldon March 3, 1968 - April 1, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Ray Boldon, affectionately known by many as Joe, who left this world in his sleep early Tuesday morning, April 1, 2025, at his home in Dyersburg, Tennessee. He was 57 years old.
Joseph was born on March 3, 1968, to the late Raymond Boldon and the late Deborah Joy Miller Boldon. He was also deeply loved by his late grandmother, Carrielee Miller Harden, who adored him and played a treasured, unforgettable role in his life.
Joe was known for his big heart, strong hands, and the joy he brought into every room he entered. He leaves behind his longtime girlfriend, Jessica, who stood faithfully by his side for the past several years. Also sharing in his home and daily life was Jessica's daughter, Addie.
He is also survived by his stepson, Cory Glisson (Candi); his nephew, Brodrick Hunter Boldon (Lori), who was like a son to him; his loving aunt, Priscilla Miller Davidson (Paul), whom he looked to as a second mother; and his brother, Scotty Boldon. He will be missed by family who loved him.
Joe worked as a groundskeeper at Dyersburg Municipal Golf Course, where he took immense pride in keeping the course in excellent condition. He made sure every golfer had a beautiful place to play, and he was proud of the work he did each day.
Joe had a gift for making people laugh and lifting spirits wherever he went. He especially loved being around children, and they loved being around him - many will forever remember the joy of his countless piggyback rides and the fun they always had when he was near. Joe also had a one-of-a-kind way with words - you could never quite tell if he was spinning a tale or telling the truth, and that playful spark kept everyone on their toes (and usually laughing).
His sense of humor, generous spirit, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His memory will live on through the stories we share, the laughter he inspired, and the love that remains in all of us who were blessed to know him.
Forever in Our Hearts
