Jon Thomas King, 66, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 5:45 PM at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
He was born on April 14, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of the late Rev. Alton Allen King and the late Betty Jean Hurt King.
Jon was a man who loved his family with his whole heart. They were always at the center of his life, and he never missed an opportunity to speak of how much they meant to him. Even when distance or circumstances kept them apart, Jon held each of them close in his heart. He cherished his family deeply and loved them unconditionally—through every joy, every trial, and every season of life, faults and all.
Jon was the kind of man who gave his love freely and wholeheartedly. He was the best husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend anyone could ask for—steady, caring, and always present when he was needed most. His heart was full of love for his family, and that love remained constant, even through life’s difficult moments. He was a source of strength, comfort, and unwavering devotion to those who knew him best.
