Johnny R. Stafford, Jr., 81, of Trimble, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Okeena Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Friday, March 10, 1944, in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Johnny R. "Buck" Stafford, Sr. and the late Hazel Wilson Stafford.
Johnny was a former machinist who spent many dedicated years with Holloway Construction and Waterland Trucking. He was known for his strong work ethic and dependable spirit.
Johnny was a faithful member of Trimble First Baptist Church, where he found strength and fellowship. Outside of work, he enjoyed a number of hobbies and pastimes that reflected his love for life. He loved playing golf, riding motorcycles, and spending time in his workshop woodworking.
Johnny and his devoted wife of forty-eight years, Judy, shared a love for traveling and made many wonderful memories together over the years. More than anything, Johnny treasured his family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and supporting them in all their activities.
Graveside services for Mr. Stafford will be held at 11:00 AM on June 13, 2025, at Pierce Cemetery in Trimble, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Mr. Matt Stafford. Visitation for Mr. Stafford will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Matt Stafford (Angie) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Shane Stafford (Khristy) of Ooltewah, Tennessee; one sister, Dottie Stafford Murphy (Blaine) of Brentwood, Tennessee and four grandchildren, Cayden Stafford (Ammiah), Drae Stafford, Gabrielle Hubble and Blair Hubble.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-eight years, Judy Faye Clanton Stafford and two brothers, Paul Stafford and Carl Stafford.
Honoring Mr. Stafford as pallbearers will be Matt Stafford, Shane Stafford, Cayden Stafford, Drae Stafford, Kenny Cogdill and Brant Page.
