Johnny Hassell Gamble, 78 of Tigrett, Tennessee died on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Oakwood Community Living Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, June 18, 1947, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to the late Thelbert L. Gamble and Ruby P. Sorrell Gamble.
A talented musician, music was more than something he enjoyed — it was who he was. As a gifted drummer, he brought energy, passion, and soul to every performance. Whether on a stage or in a simple jam session, Johnny had a way of keeping the beat steady and the spirit alive. He proudly played alongside Tab Hawkins, sharing his talent and love of music with audiences who quickly came to appreciate both his skill and his stage presence. For Johnny, music was about connection — the unspoken understanding between bandmates, the joy of a live crowd, and the way a song could say what words sometimes could not.
