John Roland "Johnny" Luckett, Jr., 63, of Obion, Tennessee, died on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Sunday, March 17, 1963, in Obion County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late John Roland Luckett, Sr. and the late Carolyn Jetton.
Johnny was a man who truly cherished the simple joys of life.
He was a devoted family man whose greatest happiness came from spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren. The moments he shared with them were among his most treasured, and he took great pride in being a constant presence in their lives.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in fishing, often enjoying quiet days by the water. Johnny also had a special gift in the kitchen and around the grill. Known as a wonderful cook, he took great joy in preparing meals for family and friends. His holiday traditions were especially meaningful—he was the one everyone counted on to prepare the turkey for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Graveside services for Mr. Luckett will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Zion Cemetery in the Cloverdale community. Officiating this service will be Pastor Robin Rotgers. Visitation for Mr. Luckett will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by one son, John Robert Luckett (Kelsey) of the Cloverdale Community and he was "Gampaw" to his three grandchildren, Reagan Luckett, Ross Luckett and Arlow Luckett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Luckett and one sister, Stephanie Simpson.
Honoring Mr. Luckett as pallbearers will be Thomas McCulloch, Trevor Allmon, Jeremy Rogers, Josh Rogers, Jerry Freeman and David Smith.
