John Jeffrey Little Obituary

John Jeffrey Little, 68, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Thursday, April 17, 1958, in Scott City, Kansas, he was the son of the late John Riley Little and the late Mary Jane Shockey Little.

John was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and considered it one of the greatest honors of his life to have served his country. His patriotism, discipline, and dedication shaped the man he became and remained evident throughout his life. Strong in his faith, John lived with quiet conviction and believed deeply in the importance of trusting God and serving others with humility and kindness.

Following his military service, John dedicated many years of hard work as Chief Engineer for Tyson Foods in Newbern, Tennessee. Known for his unwavering work ethic and dependable nature, he earned the respect of coworkers and friends alike through his commitment and dedication.

John was also a passionate supporter of Alcoholics Anonymous and believed strongly in helping others find hope, purpose, and encouragement. He was an advocate for vocational and trade schools and deeply valued the importance of learning practical skills. Teaching came naturally to him. During his time in the Navy, he taught electronics, a role he greatly enjoyed and one that allowed him to share his knowledge and mentor others.

Though he was a man of few words, John was well known for his dry sense of humor that could bring laughter at just the right moment. He found great joy in woodworking and was a talented craftsman whose handmade creations became treasured keepsakes for family and friends. Each piece he crafted reflected the care, patience, and skill he poured into his work and into the people he loved.
