Joe Dan "Beepy" Walker, 78,of Newbern, Tennessee died on Monday, August 19, 2019, at his shop in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Saturday, August 16, 1941 in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Herbert Joe Walker and the late Ruth Willis Walker. He was a farmer and stock car racer.

Graveside services for Mr. Walker will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Zion Cemetery in Elbridge, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Patrick Williams. Visitation for Mr. Walker will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home..

He is survived by his wife, Judy Hendren Walker of Newbern, Tennessee; one son, Jason Shane Walker of Newbern, Tennessee; one grandson, Jake Walker of Maxey, Tennessee; one brother, Tracy Walker (Karen) of Millsfield, Tennessee and one sister, Sandye Brown of Newbern, Tennessee.

Pallbearers will be Harold Roddy, Bracken Brown, Chase Joy, Ethan Stallings, Shane Ownby and David Oliver. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Berry, James Council, Orlan Heathcott, Ted Johnson, Terry Johnson and Joe Qualls.
