Joan Darlene Thompson Anderson Obituary

Joan Darlene Thompson Anderson, 74, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, died on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Dyersburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Friday, March 30, 1951, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late John Thompson and the late Lottie Pewett Thompson.  Mrs. Anderson was a former accounting clerk at Forcum Lannom.

A devoted member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for more than fifty years, she lived her faith with quiet strength and daily Bible reading that grounded her life. She found joy in the simple gifts of each day—especially cooking for those she loved, with her white cake topped with cream cheese icing and her chicken and dressing becoming family favorites. She enjoyed watching televised ministries that encouraged her spirit, and she cherished her peaceful walks that kept her connected to the world around her. Above all, she treasured her grandchildren, who were the light of her life and the source of her greatest pride. Her legacy of love, faith, and gentle kindness will be carried forward by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Bro. Shawn Allred and Bro.
