JoAnne Dunahoo Hunter

JoAnne Dunahoo Hunter, 78, of Newbern, Tennessee died on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at her residence in Newbern, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, November 4, 1942 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Joe Raymon Dunahoo and the late Opal Elgin  Dunahoo. Mrs. Hunter was a retired service representative for BellSouth.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hunter will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Mr. Patrick Williams. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation for Mrs. Hunter will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of fifty-nine years, Gerald Hunter of Newbern, Tennessee; one son, Jeff Hunter (Holly) of Atoka, Tennessee; one brother, Billy Dunahoo (June) of Newbern, Tennessee and two grandchildren, John Grant Hunter and Olivia Grace Hunter.

Honoring Mrs. Hunter as pallbearers will be Larry Maupin, Bill Newsome, Jr., Michael Hunter, David Hunter, Tim Hardin and Judd Reed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Dyer County Humane Society, P. O. Box # 223, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38025.
