Jimmy H. Richardson, Sr., 78, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Tuesday, April 27, 1943, in Caruthersville, Missouri, he was the son of the late Ras Richardson and the late Artie Gorley Richardson.
He was a retired employee of Dyersburg Fabrics. Mr. Richardson served as a Dyer County Constable for thirty years. He enjoyed participating in the Dyersburg Dixie Youth Baseball League for many years where he served as District Commissioner.
Funeral services for Mr. Richardson will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 17, 2021 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. James Branscum. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Shirley Ann Ozment Richardson of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one son, John Richardson and his wife, Susan of Jamestown, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Stacy Richardson of Union City, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Kaitlin Richardson (Trevor Allmon) Kelsey Chadwick (Josh), Bryce Richardson, Leah Richardson and David Richardson; four great-grandchildren, Levi Allmon, Laynee Allmon, Laiken Chadwick and Trent Chadwick; one niece Lola Lynch (Billy) of Hendersonville, Tennessee and one nephew , Billy Richardson (Kay) of Union City, Tennessee and a host of great nieces and great nephews that he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Richardson, Jr. and one brother, Bill Richardson and his wife, Dora.
Honoring Mr. Richardson as pallbearers will be Glen Anderson, John Rausch, Shane Evans, Marty Hastings, David Donald and Kerry Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Ross Baker and Jim Putman.
